Emma is a keynote speaker, thought leader and transformational workshop facilitator, whose pioneering SMILE framework helps people navigate stress, uncertainty and grief.
She draws on her postgraduate training in the Psychology and Neuroscience of Mental Health, frontline work as a Mental Health Trainer at Mind, and profound lived experience.
Emma supported her husband through 7 years of living with stage 4 cancer, before his death in 2024. She is now a solo, home educating parent to two neurodivergent children with anaphylactic allergies.
She embodies her work and weaves resilience and compassion with an unwavering commitment to helping others to become unstuck and find moments of joy and calm in the chaos.
An experienced journalist, Emma has written for the UK’s biggest publications, including The Times, The Guardian, The Independent, The Sun and The Metro.
Her bestselling book Living With Allergies (2019) and her children’s book You, Me & Food Allergies (2020) further cemented her reputation as a trusted voice in health, wellbeing and family support.
Alongside her public-facing work, Emma is an accomplished corporate communications consultant, having trained hundreds of global organisations including Cambridge University, Rolls Royce, Deloitte, NHS, Warner Hotels, London Business School, Deutsche Bank and UNICEF.

Smile is an evidence-based approach Emma has developed over six years, combining psychology, neuroscience and lived experience.
It focuses on five key elements: Self-compassion, mindfulness, investigating your thoughts, loving and letting go, emotional regulation.
This framework empowers people with practical tools and in-depth knowledge to support themselves, and others, through tough times.
